Linocut workshop in Pernes-les-fontaines

Linocutting is a traditional engraving technique which involves carving out patterns on a linoleum plate using gouges. The support is then inked and applied to a sheet of paper. Each print is numbered, signed and limited to a reduced number of copies. This artisanal process makes each print unique, because there are slight variations between each print which are the charm of linocut!
